About
I earned my MA in Folklore from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2021 researching the music and writings of Jewish partisans during the Holocaust. I’m interested in the history of Folklore as a discipline, Yiddish as a living language, the politics of secular Jewish identity in the United States, abortion rights and accessibility, labor organizing, and girlhood (broadly construed). I work in reproductive justice full-time, live in Los Angeles (for now) and have two perfect cats (for always).

I co-edited a book about American Girl and the Pleasant Company with KC Hysmith for the University Press of Mississippi. It’s available now, and has received coverage/praise from the Boston Globe, Garden & Gun Magazine, and the Jewish Book Council.
I am currently a frequent Lilith Magazine contributor + development consultant for In geveb ; I was formerly the politics writer at the Jewish Women's Archive + an editorial fellow with Southern Cultures
I also served as the 2023 Folklore Specialist for the Museum at Eldridge Street’s EGG ROLLS, EGG CREAMS, and EMPANADAS Festival.
